If you have green tea daily, and you choose green tea, you may be doing a really good thing for your health, say researchers in China. In a major study of Chinese women over more than a decade, they found that the more green tea women drank, the lower their risk for developing certain types of cancer, most notably cancers of the the digestive system.
While it’s not entirely clear if the green-tea-drinking women were healthier to begin with, it’s still an encouraging sign that there may be something to the possible cancer-fighting effects of green tea.
